Application architectures are diverse and have evolved over the past decade. Applications today can be built as a single application with a set of small stateless services, larger distributed applications that include a system of interconnected microservices, or the traditional scale-up application. In addition to traditional EC2 instances that are commonly utilized, today’s architectures may also demand new compute primitives that enable faster and immutable deployments of stateless applications: containers and serverless architectures. The former allows you to easily package your application into easy-to-use building blocks that deliver environmental consistency and enable more streamlined developer workflows, while the latter lets you build and run applications without needing to provision, manage, and scale infrastructure.
Over this week, we will explore how you can leverage the AWS platform to build and run any application including containerized and serverless applications. We will also demonstrate how you can build a range of applications from data processing systems to web applications and hear from AWS experts about how you could use Amazon EC2, Amazon ECS and AWS Lambda your production needs.
